Help Identifing a Dominator Carb (pics added)
When I bought this carb I was told it was an 1150. The guy used it on around a 500 ci BBC pulling truck.
It has no number stamped on the side where the list, model, etc. is supposed to be stamped. Is there any other places I may be able to find a number so I know what this carb is?
I looked at it briefly again last night and still didn't find any number on it. I will try to get a couple pics and post them up tomorrow if I don't find any numbers.
Thanks for any help,
Dave S.

Forgot to add, I measured the bottom of the veturi(sp?) with an el cheapo caliper and it measured app 1.9905. If that helps.

i'm not sure but i think the size of the throttle "blades"[on dominator's]are all the same.the size up inside the body is where it's at.pic's would help but it should have #'s on the top too.

If it's an 1150, you'd know! My 1150 dommie is huge compared to the old 850dp that was on the old motor. Post a pic and someone should be able to tell you what you got.

Sorry guys, pics will have to be tomorrow, I came to work and left my camera at home, I don't function well of a morning thanks to shift work.
I do know it is a Dominator, just not sure which one.
I did find some numbers that I wrote down.
On the edge of the base flange: 12R-11259-3B
On the side of the metering block in a little circle it has HP in the middle and around that in a circle it has: 34R-5976B. The last one could be an 8 or B, very hard to tell.
Thanks guys,
Dave S.

cfm venturi size
1,050 1.690
1,150 1.830
1,250 1.880
you must have been trying to measure the throttle bore dia. and not the venturi

I did measure the bottom of the bore. Where is the correct location to measure the venturi size?
I have the pics uploaded to photobucket. Here is they are finally.

It could be a custom carb built by someone buying Holley parts in bulk.
I have a Pro-Systems carb and I don't think it has any numbers on it where a stock carb usually does, like yours.

I was going to say the same thing. It is the newer hp style main body, and the base plate is a standard baseplate for that body. The bowls however look to have been worked somehow as my 1150 doesn't have the quick change openings like that. I can see the good and bad with that. Me personally, i just pull the bowls for jet changes

Looks to be an earlier 1150 HP, should have 2" blades.

Not sure about the size of the carb but the pic tells me that, "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires".

Yeah, i realized that after I had them uploaded, my camera quit working and I had to bring it to work and take pics. We recently had a visit from the possom police.
