dominatoer carb on non domianoter intake

i was wondering if a person could slightly slot the carb stud holes has on a domianoter carb to fit a non dominetor intake..i know they make adapter ..i was just looking at it and it is very close

I don't know about slotting the holes but I plugged mine with aluminum all thread rod then drilled new ones for the dominator. We enlarged the inlet with a mill also. (Victor manifold).

I was thinking about this also after looking at Pro Systems pics of an SV1 that will fit either pattern, that looks like what they did for the stud hole in the base plate. But wouldn't the "pad" need widened to fit a 4 barrel dominator? (edit - like what 512 Fairlane already posted)

Rotate the Dominator 3 degrees and 2 of the non dominator bolt holes will line up.
Now all you do is drill and tap the 2 holes that remain.
Very simple, and effective.

You will certainly have to make sure the plenum is opened up enough.

never mind i will have to buy another 4500 flange intake or a adapter , this flange is not even big enough to cover the bottom of the carb
