hope it will pull his trailer. Has more power on paper than his current 5.4. Tried to get him to go with a 6.2. He is getting it fully loaded anyway. So price isn't a concern.

I want a 6.2 but don't want the payment. A friend here at work just got a new 6.2 and even with his discount it was a big chunk of change...

The best all-around engine Ford makes right now for the F-150 is the 5.0 Coyote 4-valve.
Decent mileage and only $ 1,000 more than the base 6 cylinder engine.
It can pull up to 9,000 lbs.

I believe the 3.5 eco boost is rated to tow 11,200 and gets 22 mpg (2wd). Does anyone know how much more that they're asking for it over the base engine?

I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for something to replace my 2005 Dodge Ram this summer. The
Hemi will pass anything on the highway, except a gas station! With the talk of $5/gallon gasoline
by fall, I'm looking for something with both towing capacity and good mileage.

$2055 extra for the 3.5 Eco Boost V6. The bad news you can only get it with an 8' box with a regular cab

$750 for the turbo deal over the 5.0L V8..........$650 after a discount.......$2,055? ....I'm not sure where that came from...but I'm a Ford dealer and that's what my price list says.

I just did it with an Eco boost in a long box, extended cab. $40k and change. I also did an F350 crew cab long box loaded the same and it was only $5k more with the 6.2L.

That's what it comes up with at http://www.shoppingtools.ford.com/HomePage?&branding=3&referringSite=0&lang=en&redirectPage=
It shows the 5.0 at $1000 over the 3.7 and the 3.5 EcoBoost for $2055 more than the 3.7. I'm not a big fan of 8' boxes on std cabs
and apparently you have to get an extended cab to get a short box! I also couldn't figure out what combination was needed to get the
advertised 11,200 towing capacity with the Eco Boost on a F150, maybe it's only on the F250?

This is about the most stripped down EcoBoost F-150 you can buy and tow 11,300 lbs.
As Lem said, there is a discount right now on the E-B tho.
Too bad no-one can get a short bed version with the reg. cab. would make a nice " Eco-Lightning "
