I am hoping for 9.20s on motor. What did you run the other day in the 1/8th? Wasn't it a 5.40? Thats 8.80s in the 1/4, isn't it?

If you're gonna get the shoes, get the socks as well so you don't burn off your pinky toe Razz

I renewed my NHRA License last year and it's gettin' too expensive. I'll probably get my IHRA license when the NHRA deal expires...

Yeah, but it would take two weekends, and the 250.00 is gone, that is why I let my I.H.R.A. license run out, N.H.R.A. won't reconise them, so I will either keep getting the N.H.R.A., or de-tune, I just got mine last week, got $690.00 invested in the darn things.

x2 had rci shoes now for 4 + years now and they never came apart anywhere. I was only running mid to hi 10's but after reading about a 13 second mustang wiping it and the tennis shoes melting on his feet before he got out made me spend the 60-70 bucks on them.

Damon,
You been there enough to know,.....that place is a fricken joke when it comes to rules & tech. Helmet, Roll Bar, & Driveshaft Loop is all you need to run mid 8's in the 1/4. Laughing

It's a shame what's happened to that place in the last few years. It's been in the crapper since the original owners bought it back. Track prep is virtually null & void.

I wish someone with some $$ would snatch it up and turn it into a top-notch facility,.......especially since it's the only 1/4 mile track in the state,... other than Beech Bend. Idea

Sorry for the Hi-Jack,....... silent

I concur... I don't even take my car through tech when I go to MP, just hand Joey my card but he knows me so that helps. However I've seen MANY cars run down MP's track that should NOT be on a drag strip.

Through the years there have been a couple of cars that I refused to make a pass beside of. Even now I won't make a pass beside one of the really fast small tire turbo or NOS cars.
