I have a couple 8896 Holley 1050's laying around, I'm considering putting a Quick Fuel Conversion into or may buy one used / new. Not set in stone yet.

To expensive for the Project its going on @ $1600 bones.
I can convert a carb for about $400 +/- or get a used one for ????
But I do agree the Toilet probably is a better set-up, just not in the budget right now.
This thing is Project Cheapskate X......

Let's do the math.....$400 for the conversion + about $50 for S&H both ways or you could buy 68 gal. of VP110 from Phillip for the same $s

Re: Initial Tune for Methanol.
Does J Y Kelly still have that alky 1150 for sale? If so, sell the 8896 and buy the purpose built alky carb.

I was thinking abouit that, but The 1150 may be on the large side for a 440" lower rpm motor. Opinions?
