i have a TFS short runner intake for my 605 build and need ideas for a top.i'll be running a enderle bird on alky.most i see just use a flat plate and that may be best confused my other holmes intake has a top for the hat that sets up higher. i was thinking about building a top for this TFS but would it be best with a flat plate? study

With a "hat".....flat should work fine. Be sure to use green oil alien

Look at how the plenums are shaped between the two manifolds. (I have one of each). The Holmes has a smaller plenum in the bottom half and more of it is built into the top half. The short runner new style has all of the plenum in the bottom half, and the 2 X 4 top is more or less a flat plate. As for you new style intake, a flat top will be fine for your Enderle.

If you ever want/need to make 'it' taller put a spacer between the flat plate and the base.

I'm not sure how a guy would put a 'hat' on a pent roof top .

More to show ......if you can think it someone can build it. Making tops for T/R's is not aii that difficult.
