Most HP VB don't have gaskets. No forward gears would lead me to think that the Metal sealing rings are broke missing on the forward drum . The seals in the forward drum could also be cut when rebuilt left out or clutch pack learance way out of spec.

Manual valve could have been missed or not aligned correctly or the valve body its self is bad.

c6 manual valve body,,, no gasket Empty Pressure test

Post  manofmerc September 13th 2012, 5:24 am

Do a pressure test .On the drivers side at the front of the transmisson you will find a pipe plug it takes a 7/16 socket to remove .Get yourself a Transmisson pressure testing gauge with hose and fitting for the transmisson .After installation check and record pressures in all gear selections .P R N 3 2 1 .This will help you isolate the problem .A lot of c6 shift kits leave out the gasket between the seperator plate and the valve body most likely this isnt your problem .Find a local trans. shop they can help you might let you borrow a pressure gauge also .Doug
