finish the thru floor subframe. connectors, and removing some rust in the drivers side floorboard. Will start on the mini tubs this week , waiting on cage to show up along with other rear suspension parts.

Okay so finished patching the rust , just spot welded it to the factory floor and were it butts up to the out riggers its completely welded. Sprayed a little self etching primer to stop the surface rust ....

Removed the old lower core support which was in great shape and installed a tubular one. Will start stitch welding all the front factory uni-body frame rail next week, remove the factory sway bar mount and clean everything up to get ready for front k-member and suspension.

Re: Bruno's 87 Mustang build
Looking good! Where'd the cage come from? Looks like Wolfe? Are you going to have enough room for the seat and your tall ass with that kicker bar going down to the SFC like it does? Looks like it takes up a ton of room...
Just some advice on the minitub. Don't cut too much at once. I'm having to add more metal than what came with the kit due to me cutting too much the first time on my Futura.

yep ive made that mistake already on the mini tub, cut about 2" x 2" too much in one corner .... i will get the tub in and fill her in. It is a Team z cage fitment was okay ..... just your normal trimming im sure. It does know that im looking at it , i will wait to weld that in , get a set and get the s/w in first .

Re: Bruno's 87 Mustang build
Well this was fun. removing spot welds is definitely time consuming. Mini tubs are mocked in .... will finish up rockers bars on the cage and the back half of the cage and removing the spare tire well.

Re: Bruno's 87 Mustang build
I bought a spot weld cutter from Blair tools. Best money I’ve ever spent.
And, why does everyone remove the spare tire well? I left mine in my Futura. Coilovers still fit fine.

going with coilovers , and the placement is right in the way of where the spare tire is located.

My Mustang is a big tire full backhalf car. I have the Wolfe minitubs in my Futura with the Team Z coilover mount. It clears the spare tire well...

I think that's only required if the floor has been modified in excess of XX square feet... Damn good insurance to have it though...
