Danny Bee Spacers
So I tried to put my engine in this afternoon but it would not go back far enough to mate with the trans; front motorplate was hitting on chassis tabs before the engine went back far enough. The Danny Bee is thinner than the OEM timing cover. Is there any spacers available so that the Danny Bee works out to the same depth as the stock timing cover? It's either that or cut the old tabs off and re-do everything.
Thanks, Sheldon G

I believe it's cast, does not have the machine marks like the newer billet ones.

you prob have an old style that was cut down, We cut most down for the installs we do. take your motor plate off,and install your eng. Then just call danny bee up and order the spacers for the newer ones with the water pump boss's all ready cut down.

I know the newer billet ones come with a pair of water pump spacers. Worst case, if Danny Bee cant get you a spacer, I bet Keith Fulp can hook you up.

Any idea how thick the spacers are? I have about 1" between my front plate and the surface of the Danny Bee where the O ring groove is located.
Thanks, Sheldon

I was merely trying to find out if the spacers Danny Bee furnishes with the kits are 1" as it appears that is where I'll be once the plate is bolted TIGHTLY to my chassis tabs ; which it is not yet. Thanks for adding something of substance to the thread.
