I scored an oil pan and camshaft from Lem (or should I say Shawn ). My super cool present is a 14" Metal Devil chop saw. It uses a metal blade for cutting steel vs the standard fibre blade.

You will like the blade on it mine cut true at lest until the blade teeth started braking out just becareful when cutting thin stuff they will grab it and knock the teeth off. Mine for mild steel make sure you wear safety glass it hurt when them tiny peaces hit you. A good blade will last for a while the one that came on mine lasted a good while cut everything for my cage and chassis with it, but knocked some teeth off cut 16ga 6'' plate for gussits. You will love they way it cut over the a regular fober blade but you can use the fiber blade on it too.Them blades is not cheap need to get you some tube wax for saw blades from lowes or home depot it will last alot longer using the wax on it.

Re: What Did You Get For Your Hot Rod For Christmas
Santa ran right past my place and couldn't see it for the blizzard we are having. Oh well, I didn't need anything really this year, as I'm pretty content with what I have already. He was mighty nice to me in the past and will be again in the future I'm sure. I have a loving family and friends and that's all that a man really needs. Glad to hear of all of the good fortune going around and hope it all comes together for you all and does what needs to be done.

Re: What Did You Get For Your Hot Rod For Christmas
My kid's been pretty excited for me to open my Christmas present, and since I usually get a shirt or jeans, I figgered it might be race car or truck stuff. Thought maybe she's got me some MT et streets for the '79, but it turned out to be plane tickets to San Deigo and $500 US to spend in POMONA!! I'm going to the 50th Anniversary Winternationals, and I can't hardly even sleep at night. Been there in '83, '85, and 2000, and I just love it. As much as NHRA pisses me off with their stupid rules, they're still the main event, and the best part is there will be Fords running in PS. I love southern Cali, and I'm going to escape this minus 20-30 bullshit and spend 5 days in sunny California. She even took a week off of work to feed cows while I'm gone. Best present I ever got, hands down!
