Re: Boost question on a SBF
I usually install the Felpro 1006 "locwire" gaskets on boosted/nitrous combos. It's only a .010 groove in the head and I have 1 customer with 2 seasons at 26-28 lbs. and no issues. It's either that or Cometics, but I've seen seepage with them, and also distortion like you already have.

With a Dart block, the Cometics will usually work ...
with a production block, nothing works for very long without O-ringing the block.

Re: Boost question on a SBF
Do you know why the boost spiked higher than normal?
Are they just the standard ARP SBF studs? You may want to ask them about a stud upgrade to a 625 series material for more clamp load seens how you can’t add more fasteners.

I can't tell you the boost limit but, without "O" ringing, the MLS gaskets will work the best.

Also, after a couple heat cycles, take the rockers off and re-torque the heads one bolt or stud at a time. Back one off and re-torque it ... one at a time.

Re: Boost question on a SBF
engine is making great steam on the street , we have a 26 psi street tune about 14xx rwhp and feels really good. Just need to keep those IAT down. Going to do a custom heat exchanger in the rear after the ice/water tank for the A2W intercooler ......
