So to run 9.90 you need 650 HP and the converter checked out. What i would do is buy some Eddys for it and bolt them on. It has been proven by 5Pointsslow Fairmount that Supervel45 posted a link for you already. If 9.60s is the target then 750 hp is what is in order depending on how well the car is.

If I'm remembering correctly , Eddy's are for standard valve layout . That might work out fairly good and give me the power I'm looking for. I'll check them out and then decide what to do. After I get the chassis straighten out and the engine built, then I can decide on a converter.

Yes that is why i mentioned the Eddys because if you go to anything else as you know the parts list gets TALL !!

I think this might be the way to go, so I'll figure it out and once I have a plan then I'll figure out a cam . Thanks to all for your help!!! I'll let you know how it goes!!!
