i'v got a crank i'm not sure about and thought i'd ask opinions.it does have ford on it and does'nt have the 3y,4u on it.it has D9TE6303BA on it and w31 on last c/wt.std.mains and 2.100 rods.4.250 sroke{somebody stamped it and it does check to be that}.what do yall think? Question

it's a factory Ford Commercial 429 Truck Crankshaft, and is a forged steel crank. It's made of 1046 or 1053 mild steel (not sure which one of the two). The OEM stroke is supposed to be 3.59" and if it has been stroked to 4.25/2.100 then the rod journals have been welded on in order to get that much stroke from it.

well.........it checks out ok so i may use it for a spare. Laughing thanks for the offer. i was told it was a svo crank but did'nt know how to tell.the story was that it got hurt and was a 4.300.they had to go to 2.100/4.250 to fix it.what does a svo crank have on it in the way of casting #?thanks

The SVO cranks from back in the day were made from a forging with the following part number: M-6303-B460 They are made with AMS-6415 4340 chromoly.

Got me one of them, too.
