This is on my buddys fairmont with a 351w/c4 combo he put on a new bellhousing that is 6-1/4 depth and the old one had a 7'' depth so it pulled the slip yoke out of the trans 3/4'' more than it was before. it slides in there 3'' now and he's wondering if thats enough or does he need to get a new drive shaft ?

Street car might be ok. If it is to far out of the tranny you might find it hard on tailshaft bushings and or you could be getting issues with how much spline is still engaged.
