Hey all got a question! Been looking at QA1 single adjust shocks for my son boggers/mud drag truck. Need at least 9" travel fr-rear. Has anybody used them and do u like? 79 f150 long box, 3950 #. Cab gutted and moved back 5" 8 point cage, motor moved 7" back. Also thinking about mono leaf rear spring and full coilovers in back. Leaf springs keep us in superstock class. Already have 44" ladder bars. Any suggestions? Thanks 2 wicked mud racing

I did the single leaf, housing floaters, spring sliders, ladder bars and coil overs on my 79 Bronco when I was in super stock. I didn't have the single adjustable shocks I used 50/50 Afco's but single or double adjustable coilovers would probably work a little better.

Trying to get it to stay hooked up, unloads suspension about 20 ' out. Thought adjustable shocks would help. Have 50/50 on rear now. Trying to knock a couple tenths off at. Avg 3.5 in 200 in drags

What kind of shocks do you have on the front, I was running 90/10 Afco drag shocks.

Have 97 ram 1500 skocks - stock Monroe replacement. They have more travel. Handles good for first year out. Thinking double adjust rear and single front / 9" travel QA1, if have the extra coin extended radius arms yet this winter.

What do the class rules allow? are you still running the stock style suspension with the coils/leafs? I've had great success with Fox 2.0 air shocks when using stock style suspensions. Send me a pm and I'll give you some info that will help make your truck plant hard and hook up!

Kjett can't get pm to send. We have stock style suspension, I dropped fr coil spring buckets 4" and put 75 f100 springs up front. Dropped rear of truck 3.5 ", new rear springs and removed overload and short leaf. Have 3 leaves at the moment. 44" ladder bars and homemade axle sliders. Rear suspension is pretty soft and moves freely. Sqauts fairly good but doesn't stay after launch. Thought stiffer rebound on skocks would help in rear and stiffer compression in fr would really improve hook. I looked at fox air shocks, but didn't see if they are adjustable comp n rebound.

Forgot about rules- stock style suspension, dot tires, single carb, can run L bars front and rear. We have cuts now so probably son will want to run pro stock class as well. I drive in the drags and he drives in the bogs.

Going to order adjustable shocks next week. Probably QA1's 9" stroke. That should help plant the truck a little better I hope.
