I've got a Ron's mandrel on my 598. I use it with an ATI 3 bolt damper (BBC pattern) 5 1/2" East Coast Auto Electric BBC V belt pulley, a BBF crank trigger wheel and two 18 tooth pulleys for the fuel pump and vac pump. Keith Fulp made me a nice adapter that keeps everything centered. The V pulley and mandrel would have been centered, but it throw a wrench inthe works with the BBF crank trigger wheel.

I run a ATI BB Ford dampner on Krisse's engine, and then a Stefs BB Ford 1" mandrel with a keyway. It has several bolt hole patterns. The Stefs has small block Ford 3 bolt, big block Ford 4 bolt, and then Chevy 3 bolt.

Hope this helps,

Wally,
Peterson makes a good selection of mandrels that will fit your need. The complications come in to play if the balancer that you have does not allow all of your pulleys and crank trigger wheel to center up accurately. If you have a ATI with a 3-bolt Chevy pattern and Chevy front, and no crank trigger, you can just buy a Peterson (or other) Chevy mandrel and it will center up in the 2.280" Chevy register hole and line up with the bolt pattern.
If you have a Ford crank trigger, you will need something to center it in the Chevy register and also fit with whatever mandrel that you choose. ( I custom make those parts )
The mandrels that bolt on to the Chevy pattern (3-bolt) will cover up your Ford crank bolt and may cause interference and complications.
The mandrels that use the crank bolt to attach them are more common and less expensive. The one to fit a Chevy balancer will need to be drilled out to accommodate the larger diameter Ford bolt.
I have a small selection of mandrels on hand, new and used for Ford and Chevy and can get the Peterson parts and do any modification that you may need.
There are many options and price ranges on this simple little part. Aeromotive, Moroso, Canton, Stefs, Ron's...and others all make good parts.
If you need any help with this, just give me a call.

Can be a pain. Like keith already said, the big Ford crank bolt kinda throws a wrench in the fire. Just went through all of this just a few weeks ago. Good luck brother Wink
