Tranny rebuild
after a while of babying my tranny in the 96 i finally put it in the shop for a rebuild, went in and pulled it apart yesterday (buddys doing it for me) well od and 3rd were perfect in it, second the friction materiel on the clutches were pretty well worn,,,, in first? they were slicker than a well oiled porn-stars ass! so throwinf a complete rebuild at it including new torque converter, shift kit and a large tranny cooler up in front the radiator to keep it all cool
i burnt it back on Christmas eve night snatching on a BURIED 2500HD that was sideways up in the path and neither rear tire was visible until you were standing over it!
but ive limped it this long with the help of lucas oil transmission 'repair'

Re: Tranny rebuild
I've never been able to "baby" any trans yet. After I'm done with them, they are toast. The one in the mud truck is locked up in 1st and barely moves in 2nd. Luckily I've got a new and improved one coming.
