Any 2011 Ford F150 owners?

I am looking to buy a new 2011 F150 and I noticed it only comes with a 5.0. I currently have a 2000 F150 w/ a plug popping 5.4. So my question is did ford fix the plug popping problem and would the 5.0 be strong enough to pull a 24 ft enclosed car trailer 6 hours a couple weekends a month?

Buy it with the 3.5 liter eco boost

Have you heard anything about the 3.5?

It's got about the same torque and power as the 6.0 liter but the torque comes in ay about 1700 rpm I think, should be killer towing...........

Per my 2011 F150 ordering guide:
5.0 360@5500 - 380@4250
3.5 eco 365@5000 - 420@2500
6.2 411@5500 - 434@4500

Looks like any/all are better than the 2000 5.4
The cyl. heads on the 5.0 are not the same as the 5.4 stuff.

got 27.5 mpg with the 3.5 today , unloaded with the cruise set on 72

father in law just took his to florida and back from il. With an enclosed trailer. Pulled great through mountains and got 8 mpg better than his 06 5.4. Very happy

IMO,If you're using the 2000 F-150 now pulling the enclosed trailer,i would think the 5.0 would do a better job then the old 5.4.But the Ecoboost or 6.2 would be a much better choice for that much weight.

I Pulled my enclosed trailer from Tennessee to PA a Few Weeks back and the 2010 5.4 did fine. Fuel Economy was a little bad (9.5 MPG) but that was thru mountians towing a brick. Pulled the hills decent and no problem with sway or braking.

not yet just the display , i will report back with the exacts

The 5.0 Coyote should have plenty of power to pull a 24 footer loaded.
