Need Prayer's Guy's

My Dad has a long history of COPD,some of you have met him. He is now in the hosp. on a vent.'Breathing Machine" He went from being short of breath,wanting a breathing treatment.to going to the ER in a car to 911 in a ambulance in a matter of min's.He has severe pnewmonia. I'm not a fan of vent's seeing what I have seen working in hospitals all these yrs. His Doc is a long term friend.He recomended we give it a short term trial since it is pnewmonia and may clear. I have my own issue because he did not want a vent.
Just pray that we did the right thing from my Dad and that God's will, will be done. If my Dad comes out of this pray that he doesn't kill us all. He is always well armed and trained to shoot via Uncle Sam.

prayers sent. My mom went through the same deal and didbt want to be on a vent either. We did it and she didn't remember. Was glad to be there with us. We did tell her thoug and was ok with it

Looks like there may be a slight improvement but still touch and go.My wife deals with this every day,and keeps reminding me that wiyh kind of thing good things happen slow. Thanks for all the thoughts and keep us in your prayers. Ward

Made it thru yesterday,still showing some improvement.Things are progressing slow but if he cont's on current path they are going to try and wean him off tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers and keep em coming Ward

Ward; I just saw this post and learned about your dad. I knew he was not doing well but had no idea concerning his current condition. All of us local Fayette County Ford guys are praying for your father's quick recovery, we all know that God is still in the healing business. I plan to add his name to our Church prayer list this Sunday. Call me if you guys need anything!!

Thanks Bobby we haven't had a lot time to call folks.Cell phones hardley work at all in hospital. They were able to wean Daddy off the vent today.Seemed to come off with little problem.We were able to talk to him,His mind is clear which was a relief.Still in the woods but maybe not so dark now as long as we have no set backs. Again thanks for thoughts and prayers.Nice to know you have support in times like this!

Got to move Dad to a reg room. It is still a step down unit,but better than ICU. He has a long road to recover,think we're looking at rehab stay.Thanks to every one for thoughts and esp. prayers. for my Dad and my family. Ward
