Anybody running a 2.1 inch diameter rod journal? Have a new 4.5 billet crank (2.2 dia journal) with some chatter marks on the #8 journal. Trying to decide if i want to go .010 under or reground to 2.1 dia since I have not purchased rods yet...thoughts?

It is done all the time especially when using aluminum rods. Getting a rod to match the journal WIDTH is the normal problem.

Oliver is the only ones I know that have Rods with 2.100 6.800 .990 Rods. When I bought my set 10 years ago they where $1500.00 a set of 8.

And then after regrinding the crank you have to have it nitrated again.

Saenz, Crower and Carrillo also have them. There must be some other manufacturers out there if you can find them.
