1980-96 f100/150 manual steering?

What years and models should I be looking for?
I removed my pump but still have the power gearbox. The steering is somewhat tight at low speed and I don't like it.
I'm about ready to hit the junkyards for a manual box and would like to narrow down my search.

The steering box itself isn't that hard to fine (Auto-Zone or Advance can get them),........it's the pitman arm that's nearly impossible to locate. The splines are different on the manual versions.

IIRC,.....a Ranger pitman arm (manual of course) will also fit.

If you can't find one, I have a dropped/raised manual pitman arm with the correct spline count. It should be fairly easy to mdify it so it would work.

I didn't know about the different splines on the manual box.
I'll try to find a manual box and pitman arm in a yard. At least that way I'll have a core and the right arm.

Hey Mike. I got one from a wrecking yard from a Ranger. '83 I believe. The pitman arm that came with the box from the Ranger fit right on my truck. I sold mine to Jones when I changed my truck to the Foxbody front end. You might check and see if he still has it since he sold his truck...
