Going to the track - results with vids
I've thrown down the gaunlet and challenged a '72 Mustang to a run at the track. He's running a Kaase P51 headed 521 with a solid lifter cam and a 900 Holley on an Edelbrock Torker manifold, 4 speed and drag radials.
Should be a good race for my puny Kaase P51 headed, solid roller cammed 472 cubic inch motor.
My new converter is in. Tomorrow night I'm setting my hot lash, installing my Jomar rocker stud girdles (thank you Doug Roope), and dialing in new plugs.

Ken,
Good luck it should be a good race, that's a cool looking Mach1 i had a 73 Mach1 it was my first car.I'll be interested to hear how the Mach1 hooks on drag radials with a 4 speed.Look at it this way even if you lose at least it was to a Ford not a GM or Mopar.
Later Mark.

Re: Going to the track - results with vids
Thanks guys. Yesterday I pulled some back muscles getting out of my truck
I spent 3 hours over the front fender last night. I set my cold lash to .016, hot lash setting is .020.
Got my plugs changed and checked my header bolts as well(much easier with th valve covers off!)
Will do the hot lash this afternoon.
Anyone have as installed pics of Jomar stud girdles?
Regards,

Re: Going Racing this Friday
The track was not well prepped and my ET Streets are getting old (new in 2006). I spun every race.
The first race (7:21 pm time slip) was close but I beat him. The second race, I took a nap on the lights and the car skated all over through first gear. Gerry had taken off his 850 cfm and installed his 950 QFT carb. The track was having timing system issues and we were only timed to 1/8 mile, however we ran it out the top end heads up.
Sorry, no sound on the vids.
