when ur installing it does the open side of the seal go in the cover first or the solid side ? im having a brain fart drunken

so when your looking at the inside of the cover you see the solid side of the seal (ie when your tapping it in your tapping on the solid side of the seal) right ?

NO! solid side of the seal face the out side of the engine.

Thanks guys Very Happy just wanted to make sure Rolling Eyes thats the same way they go in for a early 302/351w, after looking at it if i did put it in backwards it looks like you would knock the spring loose pushing the spacer through it.
