ford ranger rotors will be small in diameter... I think. I used the 98 and up mustang brakes on my 5 lug swap.... areospace brakes for these 98 and up spindles....expensive!......83 to 88 ranger rotors

I would use your 88 Fox spindles and find some used brake kits online. It would be better in the end and you will not have to go through all of the headache of finding the correct ranger stuff (which isn't hard but could be time consuming to find used stuff). I see this stuff on YB and other forums all of the time for sale.

Ranger stuff only works for 4 banger, 6 cyl and all 79-86 cars with the smaller front brakes.

Mark VII rotors work for '87-93 5.0L cars I believe.

Been long time since I have messed with them but I remember something about having to chane balljoints if doing the SN-95 swap to a fox body or another option being to just buy the FRPP lower control arms that already have the newer geometry ball joints. Think it had something to do with bumpsteer. I would check into it though.

The SN95 on up stuff will not clear most aftermarket wheeks. My Convo Pros hit the calipers.

My kit from Strange came in yesterday...

I found with the SN-95 and my Weld Pro-stars that a 1/4" spacer worked perfectly, but the way IHRA/NHRA rules were about wheel spacers what I did was drill and tap 5 holes through the spacers with counntersunk 1/4-20 scerws as that theorectically made them part of the rotors at the time.

Where mine hit was the support bar for the caliper brackets I even thought about grinding the 1/4 off of that for about 5 or 6 minutes then realized there was a reason for that brace.

My wheels still hit the caliper. I was using the SN95 spindles and 99 up brakes.
