New Intake Porting

Being the ports on the Mofia intake are slightly narrower than the ports on my Blue Thunder heads should I port match them or just run it, out of the box ? I know this is the only and best intake fdesigned for our style of head. I need to know asap being we are racing Nov. 26 & 27.

I would not widen the ports on the Mafia intake to the CJ size of your Blue Thunder heads. It actually makes a good anti-reversion step. Just bolt it on and run it. Trim the roof of your CJ gaskets (just a little) with an X-Acto knife.

If the heads are off the engine, then you may want to make sure that the port roof of the heads is as high as the Mafia intake.
