Plug read--detailed pictures

Post  psfracer on Mon 2 Jan - 17:23

Fuel is Q16. 1150 dominator with 94 jets square. Ignition MSD 7AL2 plus. 16:1 comp 572, P51 cylinder heads. Total timing 32 degrees, crank trigger. Thinking about going back down to 30 degrees. How do these plugs look? The sprekles look like slight detonation to me.

Yeah these have 7 passes on them.

The timing mark you are speaking of, where should it be if it was good?

Should see a line in about the middle of the strap, typicaly indicates the timing is about right for the plug.

Rotate the plugs 90*.....that way we can see the heat line on the ground wire better.

I can kinda see what looks like a timing mark on the second plug. It looks to be toward the top of the bend(I could be imagining things). It's hard to get a good read for tuning after 7 passes, especially if your driving the car to the lanes and back from the pass.
