Post  samiam on January 26th 2012, 2:18 am

Ok, so we set the lash at .20 to start. Engine fired right up, scary low oil pressure.. 15- 25.... So I pulled the dist all looked well stuck my old home made dist made into a primer in. spun it with a drill 70 psi. poked it all back together ,same thing low.... I looked thru one a pushrod holes n the link bars are to the outside, I think this is the prob. should I slap him now ??

With some brands it won't matter but, most need the link bars to be toward the center of the engine.

Then it is a CRANE style lifter and NEEDS to have the link bars toward the engine center or the oil will end-up in the valve covers.
