The stuff I end up with

A buddy of mine called me today needing help with his boat motor. I said alright Ill be over. After a bit of fiddling around it was discovered the distributor was 180 degrees out. He made mention of the other boat he had gotten for parts and was just going to torch it. I brought up how I was looking for a trailer to build a hay hauler and that a boat trailer would be perfect.

Well now I have a boat trailer and a 1972 Larson Shark boat in the driveway. Free.

I think it needs too much money to be back on the water. Its powered by a 3.0 Mercruiser that's in pieces and needs honed if not bored. The out drive is missing. No water pump or engine coupling, seats or carpet.

Would be funny to bolt a trolling motor to it tho.

Amazing what follows ya home sometimes......

Drag it to the local landfill and roll it off into the big pile of trash..... My Dad and I did that with an old 20' long wooden flat boat we had.

Oh yea the boat had vintage 1972 stewart warner gauges. Too bad someone smashed them all to hell.

List it on Craigslist, someone may be looking for parts off of it, not that there are many good ones left. But you never know. If the hull is good, someone may have a busted up hull, and a good drivetrain for it.

No that's the 3.7l mercruiser
