Here is what I know about this engine. its a 501 cid.

crank eagle 4.140
rods h-beam 6.700
SRP pistons..030 over estimated 10.25 : 1 compression
camshaft is solid roller dur @50 int272 and exh276, lift is .702
iron dove heads port matched with super cobra jet valves put in them
some head work was done , waiting for flow numbers.
crower ss roller rockers
wiand stealth cj intake manifold
Do not have headers at this time
Head flow numbers lift int exh

Hey is a guy on the other site wiht an engine just like your asking the same question! Small world... LOL

Still need to know intake, carb., headers, and exhaust.

My guess would be in the 550-575 the compression, intake, and exhaust port is gonna limit you.

Like many have already posted, there are limitations within your engine that may not allow lofty power levels. If parts selection was at it's best, the cylinder heads may not support much more than 700 horsepower.

With exhaust manifolds and a stealth intake and the parts you are talking about 450 hp max, put a victor intake, proper headers and the right cam, 500-550ish is possible.

With similar heads, a victor, few more points of compression and a better cam, Karl got 630plus out of his 466

And after doing a little more to the heads to bump a point in compression, and some plenum work on the intake, I hope to see more when I take it back to the dyno soon. Wink
