Do you have one of these in your trailer? I did not until today. These are cheap on flea-bay. Everyone should have one handy.

Ha Ha A buddy of mine had a battery cable connected to the winch short out last year and start a little fire. It was pretty exciting for a while! Shocked

I fireballed my old Mach1 in the lights at Clay City about 15 years ago...took me this long to get a fire extinguisher! doh!

What's really crazy....at a NHRA race the safety safari makes you remove the one from your car. I've never understood that???

they probably made you remove it because of your bracket , without a proper bracket in the event of a crash the fire extingusher becomes missle in the car

x2, Frank makes a good point.

If you have a removable dry chem type extinguisher in the race car with the "quick release" type bracket they normally have, this type bracket can easily pop open during a wreck freeing the extinguisher to possibly beat the crap out of the driver during a violent wreck.

The fixed placement Halon type race car extinguisher systems are allowed because they are mounted in a permanent bracket(s) that can't ever "pop open", wreck or not. You don't remove this type extinguisher from the mounting bracket to use them, you just push/pull a button or T-handle to open the extinguisher valve.

no need for one Lee, your lack of a window net nor the cumbersome fire jacket getting in the way will make exiting the vehicle in case of a fire speedy enough to not worry about being burned lol.
