Found out the hard way what happens when a dedicated fuel pump goes bad and you have to change to a new pump at the track with no flow tool. Looks like it leaned out at the end and let the smoke out. Total damage is 3 broken pistons, 3 intake valves and 1 exhaust valve, and 1 cracked cylinder. Sad

The run where I broke it:

The worst piston:

And the cylinder that piston is in that's cracked:

Needless to say, I won't go to the track again and not have the flow tool in my tool box again! Evil or Very Mad

Thats the tool I have and I love it. I was doing some last minute checking the night before and found that the little Holly blue that feeds my nitrous gave up with a broken magnet. So a mad dash in the morning to get a replacement and I drove off leaving the tool in the garage. Since I currently run a dead headed system for that side, I could only set the pressure based on the initial gauge reading and not what flow is. Needless to say, crap happened.

It's all good though. Been wanting to try something and with having to bore out to make a 472, I'm gonna see what happens with an A headed deal. Got the set of out of the box 340 A heads, and will use an older Motorsport intake. Wonder what it will do...
