Spent last week working on the boat trailer

Man what a PITA. A new trailer was gonna be over 3 grand, so I decided to redo the one I already had.

New axles, 4 wheel brakes, new crossmembers, new bunks and carpet, completely rewired, etc...... Still have to get new wheels/tires and a set of fenders, though.

I painted the trailer with spray on bedliner. Sounds wierd, but it worked great, and now the entire trailer is non-slip!

Thanks guys! The boat is a 1988 model, so it's not like it's amillion dollars or anything, and we bought it in pretty rough shape mechanically.... got a great deal on the thing.

Found out it has 1997 Mercury Racing HP500 engines, which are 500 hp 502 BBC's.

And yes it dues use the gas. The worst part was last summer, I filled it up a couple of times at 600 bucks a pop and decided that I should be taking it easy on the throttles.

I don't think the secondaries on the holley 800's have been open since....lol....

I don't really know ow fast the thing goes, because I'm too cheap to fork out 100 bucks for a new speedometer.

I am guessing 65mph or so.
