My new Racecars Empty My new Racecars

Post  BigBlockFalcon August 4th 2012, 3:54 pm

I picked it up about a month ago as a roller. It's a 03 Mullis and Backhalved and undated in 06 by Undercover. And the wiring was a mess. We straighten out the wiring and put my motor and trans in it. Here are the pictures the day i picked it up.

Looking good. Are those the headers from the door car too?

I sure do miss the dragster we had. I still have the cockpit so maybe one day we'll resurrect it...

No they came with the Dragster. They are Dynatech headers for a BBC that came with the Dragster. But they would fit a doorcar. The headers that were on my dads car look good on the Dragster also. But these have merge collectors so that's why we are using them.

I don't know I will have to measure it. It's a stock PG case turned into a shorty PG for a Dragster

Only thing I'd worry about is if the shorty cover can support the yoke on a driveshaft? It's done on some suspended dragsters but those shafts are real short too. I'd worry about the whipping effect of a long driveshaft wearing out the support bushing/bearing in the shorty cover.
