old cobra jet heads to new scj"s ?

Hey guys, I have a bbf with a set of the older cobrajet aluminum heads on it with the script across the end of head, question is will the new style scj aluminum heads work with those pistons also or do I need to renotch?

You need to renotch the pistons. Most likely you'll only need to have the intake valve relief done.

charlie, isn't it possible to run scj's on a cj type piston , if the duration is smaller than the mid 240-250 range @.050?

Can work with very mild street cams but still needs to be checked.
