Bracket racing Empty Bracket racing

Post  dr's wife racing August 13th 2012, 12:23 pm

I finally got the 65 doing it's thing. Ran at I-22 sat night.I've been taking it and cont. to work on the front end.Last week it went crazy, wild ride.It broke a bracket on strut rod for the lower control arm. When I got it home it looked like it had been cracked for quite a while. It had some dark area with only a little shiney newly broken metal. Think this was flexing and causeing the majority of the problem the whole time. I drove the car in open time runs car was great, the smoothest I've ever drove.Driver sucked could not find the tree,my neck has been bothering me alot, which was part of the problem. One of my friend's Jonathon Hall is in the points and his car broke.so we put him in it. I think he went five rounds.ccar was dialed 6.36 we dropped to a 6.35 as it cooled down.I don't think that is too bad on pump gas. Car ran dead on all night,it had five back to back 1.37 60ft's .Mph mph stayed between 107.8 and 108.2 all night .I was happy to get this thing on the right track.

It sounds like a pretty consistent car Ward. IIRC you mentioned it was real consistent with the 460 as well.

Thank's for the postive comment's.I've been having a real hard time with my neck.Have alot of screw's and plats in it.Don't have alot of pain with it but my fingers are numb and they vasculate alot.It is mostly in my right hand which makes it hard to be consistant letting go of the button. It come and goes I try to drive when it is not so bad.
