I like Bullitt too but personally, my favs are Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum, and Rebel of the Road... American Graffitti wasn't too bad either...

Vanishing Point, Crazy Larry-Dirty Mary, American Graffitti, Bullitt.

On another note, I just finished a book called "Go Like Hell" it is about the battle between Ford and Ferrari with Henry II, Carrol Shelby, Holman & Moody lots of famous guys.

The copy I have is Hot Rod 1979. Did you find it on dvd? I have seen it around the internet now but I had searched for years to find a vhs copy. Great movie though.

Does anyone remember the name of that movie in the late 70's about funny car team in Montana and Alberta? Lucky Man Lonny Johnson... I have it but can't think of the name for the life of me.

Bingo, found in on google. Fast company (1979). Another awesome movie.

I was but 12 yrs. old, but I do remember the movie... If I remember correctly, they played it on the old Saturday night at the movies on TV...

Doug you were 12 and I was 11 in 79'. That movie suppositly had some seens shot in Edmonton AB and around the old Speedway drag strip. The best scene was when Lonnie stole his funny car back in the late evening on Jasper Ave and lined up at the lites on an intersection. Remember that one ?? I'll see if my buddy remember the name of the movie.
