what size carb Empty what size carb

What size carb would work best with a 588 ci. with CJ (ported) heads,in a 4000 lb. lwb truck, 13.4 cr, 797 comp roller, c-6 with 3500 stall. I am using a 1050, but it seems small. Which brand carb?

X2 and maybe a 1450 QF if you ran more converter.

I havent been down the track with mine yet but the 1450 sure is a lot snappier, idles better, and goes on the 2 step like right now with no hesitation or stumble......
