Small block - Pro-Stock .......... Pretty damn impressive out of a 380 - 422 cubic inch N/A small tire combo. I think there was 4-5 guys running in the 8.0? range including another old fart .............Leonard Long who took out Charlie Booze (a pair of 8.03 - 8.04 combos) You may remember Leonards name from the stolen race car post I put on here about a month ago. I am not 100% positive but if I were a gambling man I would bet the farm that Leonards car that he racews in the N/A 10.5 deal is also a stick shift combo too.

Hey guys Don says Thanks!! Great weekend for Don and I. We dug really deep to get this thing fast after a tuff time during Qualifying. Hey Travis it was Don that beat Charlie but that round they all three went 8.04, that is pretty competitive. Leonard is an awesome guy and a good friend of Mr. Bowles. He certainly does have a stick and both of them zing those engines 10,000. Pretty cool.

Don and Charlie ran a side by side 8.04 pass.Charlie posted on YB that his tranny started slipping on the pass against Don.

I guess he needs to get the trans. to slip all the time, that pass was his best 60'.

My bad ........... The live timing was all messed up and someone was posting a ladder but it showed Booze/Long and Bowles/ ??
A side question ?????? How much horsepower do these snall block cars have to be making to run that mph and Et at that weight ??? 900-950?

My guess is north of 4 digit power

great videos!!! what can you tell us about his drive train Lem?

FR9 Nascar style engine, 3 spd automatic....some kind of chrysler derivitive I think, 9" Ford.
