That 64 is Tore's Car. He bought it inOhio a few yrs. back. I like both Models. I don't know if the roof lines are the same, but they sure are similar.

The rooflines on the 63 1/2 and '64 fastbacks are the same, p/n C3AZ-6350202-A.

Re: Ford Galaxie question

Post  TravisRice on December 23rd 2013, 8:42 pm

60 - 61 - 62 - 63 all had box top models, all could be had in hardtop and sedans

60 and 61 also had fast backs but they were called Starliners and were hardtops also.

In the middle of the 63 year they released the 63 1/2 you are speak of and it was a fast back model, but still called a Galaxie. I am also thinking all of the fastbacks were either 500's or 500 XL's. 500 was the bench seat models and the XL's were bucket seat / console cars more of the luxury models.

64's were fastbacks with the exceptions of the "farmers" cars which was sedans and had a slightly different roof line although not really a box top so to speak.

Hope this helps.
Travis
