Why ORSCA?
Fun! I like to race and almost every race I've sched. this yr has been a rain out.Do you know of a better race in this area?I'm not partial to any paticular org. This is the best show I know of this weekend.I've ran their events before and they seem to run a clean show. Ward

Best event I have been too other than IHRA / NHRA events in this area. I have been to some good Southern Door Slammer Events but that's now no more. Last year this event wasn't like the years past as far as "Outlaw 10.5" cars but still had a real good index field. Interesting to see what the car count will be this year for the heads-up classes.
ADRL seems to be the hot ticket these days, but it seems to move around as the economy moves.

What kind of car counts do they usually have for the 6.0 and 7.0 classes?

This weekend at Montgomery the ladder was showing 32 cars in 7.0 and 23 in 6.0. Earlier in the season, before engines were hurt, the car counts for those classes would run 40-42 and 32-35.
Ward (Dr's Wife Racing) qualified #2 in 6.0 with a 6.002, got beat at 8 cars when the car didn't shift right and ran a 6.05.
Orsca will be at my home track, Alabama International Dragway in Steele Al (ne Alabama) in 2 weeks for the season finals.

Where was everyone at?? I walked around all day Saturday with my Bash T-shirt on and didn't see anyone. In between rounds we would make the loop around the pits.
I think I saw 4 or 5 BBF powerd rides! I just loved the blue foxbody with the 340cu small block & gear driven procharger. That dude sounded like a whip!! Found a guy from Mississippi that was with the very clean Yellow, new edge Mustang. Seemed to talk to the guy with the 4x4, 10.5 truck forever. Which after talking to him and looking at his truck he is going to have a ton of work to do before he ever gets it to hook like he wants.

ORSCA
I was parked just as you come in the gate on the right.I ran down to 8 cars had alot of fun I wore my BBF bash shirts both days. I have a red& black 89 coupe that has primer over the the front of hood from a accident earlyer this yr.It ran pretty dead on all weeknd but the trans was late coming out of low gear when I got beat.I knew the trans was getting worn the fluid has looked bad after the sec. qual. run but it was too late to to do any thing but race. Well, I hate I missed hollaring at ya. We got there about 10:00am Saturday and stayed til it was over. I was really surprised the track stayed good after the dew fell.
I wish I had brought $200, I saw a couple a set of tires I wanted to take home that only had 8-10 passes on them. Everyone was selling tires as the day went on.
