Kind of a rough deal, because the book bolt patterns are different for the wheels.

correct me if im wront but the super duty axles are ball joint correct?  as well as im not sure the frame width so you might have to fab up to make the points work.  anything is possible with a welder because I have a 79 and i put in an 88 dana 60 in swiched over to leaf springs and outriddged it so im sure it could be just how much I dont know without the measurements

I hope to get a 60 from a 2005 for my 76.I don't figure the 44 will last long.

Here is my final result... I took a rear axle out of a 00 ford excursion and i had to use the yoke off my 1984 f250 10.25 rear axle..(fit perfectly... ))... Leaf springs aligned up just fine... put a new crush sleeve in it... so now i have 4 wheel disc brakes with factory parts... and 3.73 gears .... was a pretty sweet deal... never would have expected a yoke off a 84 to fit a 00.... just a heads up .. there is no cross over u-joint from a 00 and up rearend to a older driveshaft .... that is y i had to switch yokes

Good to know info there. Still wish Ford wouldn't have gone to an oddball bolt pattern though.
