ring gaping for nos

has anyone used these rings akerly & childs 19147-5 HTD LT ? .043 1/16 3/16 ring packadge

question is:these are file fit so 4.500 x .009=.0405 is what is recommended for the top htd rings.instructions it dosent say for a certain amount of nos this is the amount to file per bore size as other ring sets do.

2nd ring is .007 per inch of the bore = .0315 special instructions say that extra clearance is needed when using NOS but dosent say how much.

You need to ask yourself if you are only going to stay with a 50Hp jet? If so I don't believe I would increase the gap. I have sprayed 150 on stock ring gap 4.36 bore and it was OK.

I did some talking around it was said no more than .038 on each was needed but me being me I may want to go to a 60jet I set them at .040  

My last build was a na deal, rings gapped around 22 or so.... A 200-250 shot every pass for the last 2 years the top ring never butted.... New build both are at .036 and im gonna lay the dick to it.....

We have some solenoids that will flow any pill you want.  

ok,thats got me to thinking I may not have enough solenoid.they are not the trash can's they are from fulton that has .125 orifice.i understand that size will only support 500/550hp I need to be above that hp level....  

add another fogger......

that is an option I do have the bungs in for 2 kits on the new intake  I just did not want to let go of the money at the moment  

1 x foggers = good , 2 x foggers = real good , 3 x foggers = really realy fast !!

if you have the bungs , PUT nozzles in them!! fast and cheap are no to be used in the same sentence! LOL
