I use a Dynamic c4 with a Ultimate Converter been 5.60-5.95 all year almost 100 passes clutches still good no breakage leaving on 175-325nos on the trans brake. pretty tuff piece great customer service but its not cheap, i have mine for sale switching to a glide and a bbf, but i have the bell housing for a 164 sbf or 164 bbf

stocker deals need a little different set up than ultimate strength..............stronger = not always faster.

Hell if you wanna do it right get a c6 with 904 internals................

Exactly richter......

Thinking about a 5.0 mustang nhra stocker, guessing in the 325-330 hp range max???? Haven't done a bunch of research yet and just started talking to some people on what it takes. Does any body know what the hot set- up is for this type of application.

Just looking at it from a tranny point of view............

full roller deal, machining down a bunch of stuff to lighten it up, aluminum direct drum, good vb, just enough clutch to hold...with lots of clearance.....good VB, low 1st gear set...............

JPT is the place to call, this type of deal is his specialty. http://jimsperformancetransmissions.com/index.html
