I guess two idler pulleys is a lot cheaper than casting a whole new waterpump for limited sales. Of course once you did that you would need a different timing cover too.

Use mid eighties factory truck brackets clean up the brackets and have them powder coated then just buy the serpentine pulleys from CVF.
You can mount the alternator where the ac pump was on the passenger side bracket.
You then have a nice clean serpentine setup for less than $300.

Do you think I would have problems reading the Innovators West timing pointer with the setup?

I ran the march brackets and stock 5.0 accessories
I spun a 460 stock pump backwards. I just used a be cool flat disk attached to the impeller. Kept 840hp cool on the street.
