I have a used 2 bolt kit with the longer main studs and the flat tool steel bar that goes over the main cap for extra support. You would have to have your main caps machined flat for these to fit. I'll see if I can find the pictures of them.

The bars were made and installed by Garrett Machine, the nuts say ARP. The bar are 5/8" x 1" tool steel. Below is some pictures of them, and of how your main caps will need to be machined. They were only installed on #2, 3, 4, and 5 mains, there is not one on the 1st main, due to oil pan clearance. $40.00 plus shipping, which I would think about $5-6 shipping thru USPS Priority mail.

thanks for the pics but seems I would have a pretty good bill from the shop to get them to work

my question to you is how would you use your/these caps after your bars were sold?

The block that these are on is cracked, I'm just using it to mock everything up. I have a new A-460 block from Lem and I am waiting for Charlie to finish porting my new TFS A-460 heads.

I agree with Randy. Get the caps machined. This is far superior to any girdle on the market and for one fourth the price. Any machine shop could machine the caps for not a lot of money. If you think $40 is too much, start buying arp nuts and studs. racnrick is giving you a sweet deal, you'd be wise to take it...

I never said I wanted a girdle I would not run one... new studs are 80 bucks.40 bucks is a good deal for what he has for sale no doubt. just dont wanna have 200 bucks wrapped up in a 2 bolt deal.

for what it cost to machine the main caps it will be way worth it to have a set done right....be better than any girdle around bar none

Harold, Don't worry about them. You'll be fine w/o them just using studs.
