1979 fairmont futura gear ratio

was wondering what gear ratio were in the above cars with a 255 inch windsor? Thats the small-bore 302 version.

http://www.automobile-catalog.com/auta_details1.php WoW They are claiming 2.26's with a C4 trans. I figured it would be high but damn. I had a 79 Cutlass with 2.29's or 2.33's, so I am not real surprised.

Sorry the link didn't work, but I pulled it up for a 1980 4.2L on the same site and came up with the gear ratio.

I had am '80 T-Bird with the 255 and man would that little bugger rev lol!! It had some real tall gears too so it took a while to get there.

It was my old girlfreinds car, just a hundred dollar beater with a broken starter relay wire.

She later burned up the motor when a cracked valve seal locked up the oil pump.
Built a pre69 spec 2bl 302 with 4bl intake on it. Car was just spooky fast. A 50 cube difference dont make that much difference normally. Had to be gearing.
