You should be able to find an EVTM (Electrical Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual) for your Lightning. I found one for my 96 Mustang on Ebay a few years ago. The EVTM is what the Ford Technicians use in the shop. They're the best wiring diagrams I've ever used. They're WAY better than the Chilton's and Hayne's diagrams!

When I start dissecting the wiring harness on my 2003 F150, I'll use one too.

Have a good day!
Michael

Transmission is bought and should be on the way in a couple of weeks!! Decided to go with the Broader c6, it's basicly his 1000hp transmission he offers except I will install the cast pan and little other items like that that would normally come on the 1,000hp unit! Can't wait for it to get here! Now all I need is a converter, driveshaft, cylinder heads and harmonic dampener.
Thanks to Doug I bought his manual powersteering box, so now I don't have to worry about the powersteering pump and brackets.

Wouldn't pass tech, plus the tabs are really weak. I would have mounted the straps right over the tabs, but if you notice the return and vent bung is in the way.

Why wouldn't your fuel cell pass tech? I ran mine for more than a season strapped to the bed just like that and they never said a word, except when I forgot to install the ground strap. You're welcome Josh for the manual box. Just having that on there, has to take over 20# off of the front.

I thought I read in the NHRA handbox that the fuel cell hast to have straps? It's done now and doesn't look that bad. It will look better once I get the battery box and the bed painted.

When I do bring the truck to the Bash I don't want to get all the way up there and not pass tech.

Ya' I was just thinking out loud there for a moment. I have to work on finding the right cylinder heads for this package. Thought about just buying a set of TFS out of the box. Since I am only running a hyd flat camshaft and J429 intake. Then when I get enough money for a solid roller setup I could have the heads ported.

The main question is right now, is do I want the 74cc TFS or try to find a set of 100cc Blue thunders. From what I can tell is the TFS flow better tha the BT and I'm not 100% sure the BT would need a different valve notch in the pistons.

I believe the BT heads will work with the stock pierce point on the pistons. I'd probably just go with the TFS's with the FT Hyd. cam. Like you said, there's always room for porting too as the funds allow for further upgrades.

TFS Streets will work with the weight of your Truck better IMO. They work awsome and will get you some great compression. Your looking to go FAST right???? Compression is your Friend !!!

I agree, just wondering if I would have any reason to lower the compression ratio.

Laughing I guess I better get my father in-laws golf cart back running before he starts in on something else.

I have nothing to do on the truck, it's just sitting there waiting for parts. Called Broader today and they said it would be a couple more weeks before the transmission is ready. Why ain't nothing free? Laughing
