That's a super bad deal.

Riding a bicycle of all things. Lived life on the edge and then something like this takes his life. Bad deal for sure.

That gives me one more reason not to ride a bicycle.

Pretty sad deal. I lost a best friend 5 years ago the same way. I rode dirt bikes with him for years and seen him do near impossible things on a bike, then get killed on a bicycle....

As somebody who rides both motorcycles and bicycles, I find riding a bicycle on the road to be way more dangerous, and have had way more friends killed on bicycles. Between the people obsessed with their phones, drunks and druggies, and people who just generally hate anyone on a bicycle, it's getting really dangerous out there. People need to think of the cyclists they see on the road as their favorite race car/motorcycle driver, or somebody's husband/wife/son/daughter, and give them a break.
