Re: intake off to INDUCTION-SOLUTIONS
Let's get the ball rolling here...... Just a few pics to show what were starting with...
This is a top view of things.. NOS Pro Shot Fogger style kit as well as an NOS Cheater plate and some N/X solenoids...
The system has the NOS "B" nozzles that are notorious for internal leaking...
People always ask if the blueprinting process is really worth the money ??
That line I.D. is .084 and being fed by a fuel solenoid that is .176.
Looks like we have a FEW things to correct as well as changes to make here to get these two systems up to our standards....
** On the direct port system we will change the nozzle to our stainless steel 90 degree nozzles. No need to give the internal tubes of the "B" nozzles a chance to burn up another engine !!
** The nitrous solenoids will be opened up to at least .116 so they will flow as well as a bottom exit solenoid. The plungers (RTM Black Rubber) will be replaced with new Teflon. The fuel solenoids will be gone thru and the plungers replaced if needed. Not likely as they are Viton and madeto be in fuel. It's rare for a fuel plunger to go bad..
** The Zinc plated steel tubing will be replaced with S.S. tubing. The Zinc cracks hen bent and starts to get nasty looking outside and starts to rust inside at times..
** On the plate system we need to take a close look at the plate and the passages and holes in the bars.
** The N/X nitrous solenoid with the plate only has an .090 orifice in it and the fuel has a .176. The fuel is large/fine, and the nitrous may need to be changed depending on the HP output Nick may be looking for from the plate ??? We do have our .110 base nitrous solenoids on sale right now ?? LOL If anyone needs one...
http://www.induction-solutions.com/shop/specials.php?osCsid=f8f804c4l48dsor3m5nede7ie1
** On the lines feeding the plate these will need to be corrected as well.. A common find is the small I.D. of the -3 lines/hose ends used for this set up. One has a .076 I.D. and the other is .084 I.D.
This should give you guys a little bit of an idea as to a few of the things we check, find, and correct on the average systems. I'll try and post a little more info or an update within a few days... Thanks, Steve

Re: intake off to INDUCTION-SOLUTIONS
Steve,
Great findings , i really glad i never sprayed the 2nd stage its amazing also how the lines from the same manufacturer are so different, i also didnt realize i had the dreaded "b" nozzles. So everyone knows it is like buying insurance for your engine let Steve flow and blueprint your investment , I have a lot of money tied up in my deal and its worth every penny to have Steve do this service.
Thanks again Steve for posting the information in reguards to how you go through the process of flowing and blueprinting these deals. I know most folks like yourself wounldnt post info like this on the net and i know everyone on our site really appreciates your effort.
Nick

Re: intake off to INDUCTION-SOLUTIONS
Thanks you Nick for giving us a chance to take a look at your stuff as well as help you correct it and move forwward with the best set up possible... I'm trying to share as much info as I can without letting the cat completely out of the bag as to all we do !!
Here's an update on the plate stuff too...
This is an overall layout of the before and after parts to correct the plate system...
Here's the .090 nitrous solenoid. We are replacing it with a new .116 based solenoid. Also if you note there was NO nitrous filter and the original fittings had some restrictive passages as well..
Here's the fuel solenoid. Again we add a filteredinlet fitting and a outlet fitting that will help improve the flow as well..
And last but not least, here's a better look at the before and after of the lines on this kit...
Hope again, this helps shed some light on a part of what we do for our customers... Thanks, Steve

I had two of those one I sent to you and one I sent to Steve to be flowed mine did the same thing when Steve flowed it.
I'm not sure what plate Steve sent me, I think it was an Edelbrock. It works good enough that I couldn't hook it at 130 mph.
