Ford Race 2019 will be June 6-8

The dates for the race for 2019 will be June 6-8. I’m including Thursday night in the dates, because several of us show up at the track Thursday and hang out. We will do something for dinner Thursday night and there will be food all weekend. Friday will be test and tune, then the tracks normal program that night. Then Saturday morning will be the all Ford race and after that we will open the track back up to t and t and whatever you want to race. Golf carts, tow rigs, grudge match or whatever. Then Saturday night the track will have their normal program. Plenty of time to race. $20 for Friday t and t, $50 for the ford race Saturday or $60 for the weekend. $10 a day for spectators. As always it’s 100% payout minus cost.

The address is on the U.S.60 Dragway website.Not sure of the exact address but it is in Hardinsburg Ky.Come on down it is a great time with a lot of good people.

You can park anytime Thursday.Normally bracket 1 and bracket 2 plus another race or two for the quicker cars.Payouts are based on car count i think.Come on down always a great time with plenty of good food and great bunch of racers.

I've wanted to come to this event for years, and if things work out, I hope this will be THE year I do! 
Please add some details as you can about nearby motels, etc., I'm not going to try to make this a day trip from central VA...

What a lot of racers don't realize is that you can race in at least 4 or more races, (considering the track's regular programs), with a complete day of "test & tune" but, only need to make that tow to the track 1 time.
You could wear out a set of rear tires in just that ONE weekend ... that actually has happened.

12 hours and 700 miles for me from New Orleans. I've made all of them except the 2014 race and have only brought my car last year...
It's a good time and you can race all you want...

You can also find us on Facebook at Annual Ford Shootout Race. For the new guys, the Breckinridge Inn in Hardinsburg Kentucky is right up the street from the track. Also there is a Quality Inn in Lewisport Kentucky that is about 30 minutes from the track. If you need to get ahold of me, give me a call at+15732593089. Wes

Roadster Match Race

There will be a best two out of three match race with the SR-71 headed 611 CID Mustang roadster of Presley Rae Wilkerson verses the SR-71 headed 557 CID '37 Ford roadster of Brian Spears. We'll run this race on a handicap basis, however both cars should be fairly close. I'm looking forward to it!
